Finn Inc.'s castable ceramic products offer a broad range of products with superior performance where wear-resistance is critical. The main advantage of these products is that the monolithic cast has NO SEAMS, contrary to linings with cermic tiles or basalt sections.

The two main ingredients in the products are the wear-resistant particles and the binder. The wear-resistant particles, such as alumina (BKR) and silicon carbide (CSR), are compacted in an extremely strong and dense silica-fume (Microsilica) based mineral binder.

The products are cast directly on steel. Anchors are added when necessary to improve the bond between the steel and the lining. In cases of heavy vibration or impact, steel fibers are commonly added to the mix. Advanced ceramic tiles (Al₂O₃ / ZrO₂) can be embedded in the castable product in areas of extreme wear.

The primary Ceramite^® grades used in Finn Inc. products are:
	BKR - Alumina based / Standard BKR-F - Alumina based / Trowleable CSR - Silicon Carbide / Highest Quality Wear-Resistance
For thermal shock resistance in high temperature applications Finn Inc. uses:
	Quark - Thermal Shock Resistance
